WHY I DON’T OFFER A LINGERIE CLOSET — AND WHY THAT’S A GOOD THING

Boudoir is an incredible way to celebrate your body and honour your story. With more and more studios offering “lingerie closets,” I often get asked whether I provide one. I don’t — and that choice is very intentional.

Here are five thoughtful reasons why:

1. Your Comfort Comes First

The biggest reason I don’t offer a lingerie closet is simple: hygiene and peace of mind. Wearing items that have been used by others can pull you out of the experience — and this session is about feeling confident, cared for, and completely at ease.

2. Your Style, Your Connection

Lingerie is personal. When you choose pieces that reflect your taste, your energy, and your comfort, you show up as your full self. That quiet power comes through in every image.

3. Fit Is Everything

Lingerie that doesn’t fit just right can ruin a photo — and a moment. Pieces that are too loose or too tight don’t photograph well and are nearly impossible to retouch convincingly.
